Enrollment in the St. Joseph Catholic School Extended Day Program constitutes an understanding that you will abide by the policies listed below.

PARENTS MAY EXPECT THAT:

1. Their children are cared for in a safe, supportive, and Christian environment.
   
2. Their children will be encouraged to do homework and, when possible, given help.
3. Their children will be given a snack and drink each day.
4. They will be informed about any misbehavior on the part of their children to bring about an improvement.
   

CHILDREN MAY EXPECT:

1. To have a safe, supportive Christian environment.
2. To receive respectful treatment.
3. To have discipline that is fair.
   

THE PROGRAM EXPECTS THAT PARENTS WILL:

1. Pay fees on time as explained in the Payment and Fees Section of this packet.
2. Pick up their children on time. (Note: A late fee is charged after 6:00pm.)
3. Sign out their children at the desk each day.
4. Pay attention to any communication regarding their children’s behavior.
5. Notify the Extended Day Program Director or staff if their children will NOT be attending the program on any given day. (i.e., appointments, change in after school routine, out of town, etc.)
6. Notify the Extended Day Program Director or staff if there are any changes to be made on the Registration form during the school year (i.e., phone numbers, emergency contacts, pick up authorization, etc.)

THE PROGRAM EXPECTS THAT THE CHILDREN WILL:

1. Be responsible for their actions and regard standard safety rules
   
2. Respect the rules that guide them during the day at St. Joseph Catholic School.
3. Remain with their group and adult leader at all times.
4. Arrive at the program promptly.
5. Take care of the equipment and materials properly.
6. Show respect to other children and to the staff through word and action.
7. Exercise good manners and helpfulness at snack time.
8. Be responsible for beginning and completing, if possible, their homework assignments.
   

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

If students are involved in extracurricular activities or special tutoring, the Extended Day Program Director MUST BE NOTIFIED IN WRITING of the days and times. If parents are not available after the activity, students will return to Extended Day with their activity leader. Parents will be billed accordingly.

Our policy is that children are NOT to be left unattended before or after extracurricular activities.
