St. Joseph Catholic School offers after school care from dismissal until 6:00pm on all school days except the last day of school. A snack, opportunity to complete homework, indoor games, outdoor play, and a movie (on Friday) are provided for the students.

Students who have not been picked up by the end of carpool (15 minutes) are brought to the EDP room. Parents have a grace period to pick up their child(ren). Please note that at 3:56pm, parents will be charged the full fee for the day. (This has been extended for the 2007-08 school year due to the split dismissal times.)

Please read all of the information in this packet to help you and your child understand the guidelines and policies regarding our program.

REGISTRATION AND FEES: To register for the program, a form must be completed for each child and returned to the school office.  We will not charge a registration fee this year. Program fees will be charged as follows:

Extended Day Program daily charge	$ 9.00 per day
2 children	$13.00 per day
3 children	$16.00 per day

Please note that monthly charge is no longer available.

LATE FEES: A late fee is charged if the child is not picked up by 6:00pm. The late fees are as follows:

6:01 - 6:05pm	$  5.00
6:06 - 6:10pm	$10.00
6:11 – 6:15pm	$15.00
6:16 – 6:20pm	$20.00

PAYMENT: Payment is expected by the 10th of the month for charges incurred the previous month. You will receive a statement in your child’s Friday folder during the first week of the month for the prior month’s fees. Late pickup fees will be included on this statement. Checks should be made out to St. Joseph Catholic School for the exact amount of the bill. Please do not prepay for upcoming months.

AVAILIBILITY: Students will be able to attend the Extended Day Program on all school days except the last day of the school year. Additionally, the EDP program will be available on early release days until 6:00pm and on Parent Conference days from 7:30am until 6:00pm for an additional charge.  Those dates and charges follow:

On some early release days and on all parent conference days, students attending the Extended Day Program must bring a sack lunch and drink. A snack will be provided in the afternoon.

EARLY LEARNING PROGRAM SIBLINGS: The EDP program is also available for siblings of St. Joseph Catholic School students if the siblings are registered in the St. Joseph Early Learning Program. Siblings must be in the 3- or 4-year-old classes and must be potty-trained. The EDP program is available on Monday through Thursdays only (since the Early Learning Program does not meet on Fridays) in the mornings from 7:30am until 9:30am (program’s arrival time) and also in the afternoons from 2:30pm (Early Learning Program’s dismissal time) until 3:15pm (the school’s dismissal time) or until 6:00pm (the Extended Day Program’s hours). Times and charges are listed below.

            EL students 7:30am – 9:30am                        $ 6.00 per day

            EL students 2:30pm – 6:00pm                        $ 10.00 per day

A separate form must be filled out for the Early Learning Program sibling and the form must be turned in by August 1st with the rest of the forms in the Registration packet so that personnel can be scheduled.

PICK UP PROCEDURE: Parents or those authorized to pick up the student (listed on the EDP Registration form) must enter the school building and go to the EDP room to pick their children up from the Extended Day Program. A driver’s license may be required for identification if someone unknown to the Director or staff picks up the student. The parent or authorized person must sign the student out each day. Failure to do so may result in expulsion from the Extended Day Program.  This is important so that the staff can properly attend to the students and their needs.
