The Christmas Chronicles

Join us for our annual Christmas program on Thursday, December 14th at 6:30pm in the church sanctuary. Our Kindergarten through 5th graders, under the direction of Ms. Logan Herod, will sing the songs of the season while sharing the story of our Lord’s birth! We guarantee you’ll leave with a smile on your face and the joy of Christmas in your heart! Hot Cocoa and cookies will be served by the Dads’ Club immediately after the program. December Service Project

Our December Service project is underway! We are collecting new crayons, coloring books, and/or activity books for children who will be spending Christmas in the hospital this year. We hope to make the holidays just a little bit brighter for them! If you would like to contribute, there is a box for donations just outside of the school office. Thank you!

Christmas Break

Christmas break begins with early release on Wednesday, December 20th (11:45am for K-4th and 12:00pm for 5th-8th), and students will be out of school from December 21st through January 2nd. Classes resume on January 3rd. We wish each and everyone of you a blessed Christmas vacation!

Spelling Bee Winners

Congratulations to Akhil P, winner of the SJCS Spelling Bee! The runner up was 8th grader Thien-Nhi V. Akhil will compete in the Diocesan Spelling Bee on January 11th. We'd also like to congratulate all of the students who competed in the school Spelling Bee. We have some super-spellers at SJCS: the Bee took nearly two hours to complete!

Cleaning Out Old Toys?

Are you ready to purge the unused toys from your home before the Christmas holidays? The Little Flowers Girls' Club is collecting gently used toys for Birth Choice, a crisis pregnancy center in Dallas. Birth Choice helps mothers by providing not only baby items but a toy or two for any new big brothers or sisters. All donations may be placed in the box right outside of the school office. It's hard to believe but the holiday season will be here before we know it! Spread some cheer and sign up to assist our kids in the Christmas store! Food Drive for North Texas Food Bank

Throughout the month of November, all grades will be collecting canned goods for the North Texas Food Bank who supplies our local bank, the Network of Community Ministries. Donations will be accepted until December 1st! If you haven't had a chance to send any non-perishable food items yet, you can still send a donation in the week after Thanksgiving break. Donations may be given to your homeroom teacher or brought into the school office. Thank you for your generosity!

PTO is selling Christmas wreaths again this season! Help support our school and beautify your home at the same time. Order deadline is November 15th by noon. Open House--Spread the Word

We will be hosting an Open House on Tuesday, November 14th at 7:00pm in the St. Joseph room for prospective families interested in the next school year. If you know of anyone who might like to attend, please invite them to join us! The open house is a great chance to tour the school and see the many blessings a St. Joseph's education provides. And don't forget about our referral program! Registration for the 2018-2019 school year will begin in January.
