Congratulations to all who participated and helped make this track season a success. We were very competitive as a team and held our own against the other schools.
The coaches truly enjoyed working with all of the athletes and were really pleased with the results of each individual as the season progressed. Thanks to the coaches, Jeff Washerlesky, Harry Keane, Lori Okonek and Chris Zugelder for helping out at the practices. We wish continued success to all of the athletes and hope everyone’s experience on the track team was a good one. Good luck to the 8th graders in your new schools and we certainly hope to see all of the underclassmen out for the team again next year.
THANK YOU COACHES, for a job well done!!!!
The softball and baseball teams have also been doing a great job and everyone worked hard.
Our JV softball team did a good job and the varsity softball team made it to the division 1 quarter final play-off game but lost to St. Patrick. Way to go girls!
Our 5th grade baseball team continued to improve throughout the season and we are looking forward to their return next year. The 6th grade baseball team did a very good job and made the play offs. They were able to hold off All Saints in the quarter-final game until the last inning. The varsity boys had a fantastic season and would have been undefeated had they not had to forfeit three games. They had a successful first round play-off defeating St. Paul 10-1. They are scheduled to play their semi-final game against Christ the King – 7 at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, June 2nd, at Oren Good field #1 (in Carrolton.) If they win, the championship game will be played this Friday, June 4th at 4:00 PM at Jesuit. Please try to come out and support the team this Wednesday and if they win they will need your help again on Friday..
Many thanks to ALL the coaches for ALL their hard work all year long. It wouldn’t be possible without you!
The sports banquet was held on Friday, May 14th. Tremendous thanks to Sheri Miller and Joelanda Kundl for ALL the hard work they put forth towards organizing this big event. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and the athletes and their families all had a wonderful time. Special thanks to Julie Condy and Janie Pouttu for putting the program and certificates together. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Keene for donating the medals.
Special thanks to Edward Bernal and 6th graders Lindsey Boss, Erin Smith, Grace Nguyen, Brianna Preston, Lindsay Okonek, Morgan Miller, Claire Kuhlmann, Alexandra Acuna, Lauren Dube, Savannah Elsden, Luci Mccaffrey and any others that I may have failed to mention for helping with setting up the gym for the banquet. Thank you Mr. Czaus and CRO Catering for the delicious fajita dinner! Much appreciation to all of you who helped clean up!
Again, thank you to all the volunteers and coaches for a great year. The athletic program would not be successful without you and your wonderful children.

FORMS:
Athletic Probation (No Pass No Play)
Students participating in DPL activities (defined as any and all organized activities/competitions sponsored by the Dallas Parochial League) are required to maintain a grade no less than 70 in each subject area and to achieve no less than a satisfactory rating in areas concerning conduct, effort, or self-discipline (hereafter, the minimum standards). Student reports will be reviewed and a two-week probationary period will begin upon the distribution of quarterly progress reports and report cards. If the student does not meet the minimum standards they will be placed on a two-week athletic probation. During those two weeks, students are prohibited from participating in practices and/or games. Once the probationary period expires, the affected students will be assessed again. If the student has shown progress and successfully raised his/her grade and/or conduct above minimum standard, they will be permitted to return to their team. If, after being assessed, a student still maintains grades below 70 or unsatisfactory conduct grade, they will be placed on an additional two week probationary period. Assessments will continue every two weeks until the student’s grades and/or conduct are brought up to standard or the season ends.
During the Athletic Probation period, it will be the responsibility of the Athletic Director to communicate with affected students and their coaches. It will be the responsibility of the Principal to communicate with the student’s parents.
