Gentlemen,
The time is upon us to meet and have some fun!!
Monday April 28th in the Upper Room at St. Joseph’s will be the next meeting of the Dad’s Club. We’ll kick things off at 6:30 pm with some hot pizza pies, good friends and a cold drink.
In addition to all of the Dad’s Club members, we are opening this event up to all Dads’ in Early Learning and Faith Formation. We would love to have a bunch join us and build participation and membership in our Dad’s Club.
The theme for this event is “Bring Your Own Favorite Six Pack”. Basically what we are going to do is set out a big trough filled with ice. When you arrive, put your six-pack in and drink some of that or choose another kind of beer that someone else brought that you have not tried. What a great way to experiment with new flavors and have fun at the same time.
Congratulations are in order for our very own Kevin Mistele. Kevin completed his final steps to becoming a Catholic on Thursday morning. He is now official and we are all very proud of him. “Bout time Katie got through that thick skull!! We’ll have Kevin lead us in prayer on the 28th as our newest Catholic!!
The school year is ending soon so mark this event on your calendar. There will be some talk about organizing a Dad’s Club camping outing over the summer for families. Possibly rent some cabins and have some of you guys break out some of your toys! Jet skis, boats, etc. We’ll discuss further on the 28th.
Also, we have not ruled out the possibility of our End of School Year bash for early June. We are still hammering out some costs/etc. so look for an update on the 28th.
For any of you that have been under a rock for the last couple of months and are not aware, David Ross will not be returning as our Principal for next year. David is a member of our Dad’s Club and we are very grateful for all the wonderful things he has done at our school. We will miss him. But sappiness aside, come out on the 28th (I hope he is going to be there) and enjoy a cold one with him and give him your thanks and well wishes.
I look forward to seeing you on the 28th. And don’t forget to bring a friend who has kids in the early Learning, School or Faith Formation that is not already a member. We’ll provide the pies…but he needs to bring some cold ones!!!
In service of our kids,
Brian
