Last Day of School The last day of school for 1st-7th graders is Friday, May 25th, with a noon dismissal and no EDP. All 1st-4th graders will dismiss at 11:45am and all 5th-7th graders will dismiss at 12:00pm.
Change in May's Lunch Menu On Friday, May 18th, the cafeteria will be serving cheese sticks with marinara sauce, instead of pizza rolls.

- Bishop's Dinner & Dance is on Friday, May 11th from 7-11pm in the Upper Room.
- Final Exams are on May 15th, 16th, and 17th. More details will follow from teachers.
- Thursday, May 17th will be the last day of school for all 8th graders. They do not have school on Friday, May 18th.
- Graduation is on Friday, May 18th at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary.

PSIA Awards Ceremony Parents are invited to attend our PSIA Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 11th at 2:00pm in the Sanctuary. We will recognize all students who participated in both district and state meets this year. We are so proud!
Family Sharing Meeting On Wednesday, May 16th Mr. Riley will be conducting the last of the Family Sharing meetings. Please join him at 7:00pm in the Upper Room. This is open to parents of all grades K-8th.
May Crowning will take place during the 8:30am Student Mass on Wednesday, May 9th. All 2nd and 8th graders will be participating in the ceremony.
Spring Musical Our K-5th students had a great time performing the PIRATES! The Musical. They were the silliest pirates ever to sail the swashbuckling seas! The lower and middle school choirs also performed to an enthusiastic crowd.
Informational Band Meeting
There will be an informational meeting at 7:00pm on Monday, May 7 in the Dining Hall. A representative from Brook Mays' Band/Orchestra Department will be there to talk about instrument rentals. Please bring your future orchestra student along to get fitted for instruments at that time. Traditional band instruments, as well as strings will be represented. Also based on the survey results, our band/orchestra will be one day a week after school.

Yearbook Pictures On Tuesday, May 8th Rhonda Gray, our yearbook coordinator, will be taking pictures of all extracurricular groups and organizations. We also ask that all Scouts (Brownies, Clubs, etc.), regardless of which troop they are in, wear their uniforms to school that day. If you have any pictures you would like to share, for yearbook purposes, of any activities (Confirmation, First Communion, sports, field trips, etc.) that you have taken throughout the year, please burn them to a CD and send to the School Office or you can email the pictures to

2011-2012 Yearbooks Time to order your 2011-2012 yearbook! Order forms were sent home in the Friday Folders. Reserve your color copy by completing the information and enclosing a check payable to St. Joseph Catholic School by May 18th. Each copy is $25.00. If you are NOT returning to St. Joseph for the next school year, please include your mailing address and an extra $2.00 to cover shipping costs, and your yearbook will be mailed to you. Only a few extras will be ordered. The yearbooks will arrive the first week of school in August. TCCCU Tuition Loan Forms for the 2012-13 school year are now available. Families must be a member of the TCCCU and this can be done online or we have forms in the School Office. There is a one-time $30 deposit/membership fee. Interest rates are 6.5% for payments mailed to TCCCU, 6.25% for auto drafts from another financial institution, and 6.0% for auto transfers from a TCCCU checking account. You can get the form in the School Office or online at www.tcccu.org. Go to Forms & Applications, Tuition Loan Forms, and click on St. Joseph - print, complete, sign and send the form to the School office. Do not send form directly to TCCCU. Forms are due to the School Office by May 1, 2012.
Financial Accounts All financial accounts must be current by May 21st, in order to receive your child's report card on the last day of school. May's EDP & Lunch bills will be emailed after school is out.
2012-2013 School Calendar The first day of school next year will be Tuesday, August 21st with a noon dismissal and EDP. Copies of the calendar were sent home last week and it is now posted on the school website.

Morning Drop-Off Parents, in the mornings...please do NOT allow your children to walk across the parking lot unattended. This is incredibly dangerous! Those parents not using the carpool line MUST park and escort their children in to the building.
4th Grade Author's ReceptionOur 4th graders worked so hard on their novels and had a wonderful author's reception for parents last Thursday. Each of the student's literature project is being donated to the Plano Children Advocacy Center. Great job 4th grade!
Gallery Night The St. Joseph Art Department is hosting its 2nd annual Gallery Night on Thursday, May 10th from 7-9pm. Please be sure to RSVP to the evite or click here to RSVP. The evening will begin with a short presentation in the Dining Hall, then everyone will move down to the School Wing to enjoy over 1,000 pieces of students' artworks and displays. Our new principal, Mrs. Camille Antes, will be on hand to share in this wonderful event. The PTO has once again sponsored the evening and will be providing wine and refreshments. Students are welcome to attend. Babysitting will also be available, if needed. Please RSVP on the evite if you need babysitting. Come enjoy this wonderful event!
