Why I teach: I love helping kids learn and grow.
Education and Training: I earned my bachelor’s degree (Business Administration) and master’s degree (Healthcare Management) at the University of Texas at Dallas. I also completed my Teacher Certification coursework at UTD. As a member of the Air Force Reserve, I was trained in medical administration.
Where I Have Lived: I was born in Arkansas, and my family moved to Texas when I was three years old. I grew up in Richardson and Garland. In fact, both of my childhood homes are very close to St. Joseph. Now, I live in Wylie.
My Professional Experience: I did some entry level work at a corporation before having children. Then I realized I wanted to become a teacher. My teaching experience includes years of substitute teaching from Kindergarten through 8th grade before teaching full-time in 3rd grade, 6th grade, and 8th grade. I’m thrilled to be teaching 4th grade this year!
My Family: I have been blessed with a wonderful mom and two amazing daughters. My girls attend Wylie High School.
Something you might not know about me: I have made over 3,100 skydives.
A prayer for my students:
Please watch over my students and guide them. Help them use their unique gifts to help others. I pray for abundant blessings in their lives, perseverance to endure trials, and hearts that show your love to the world.
