Grade: 5th Grade
Why I Teach:
I knew from a young age that I wanted to teach. I was blessed with wonderful teachers who's love of teaching and sharing the faith with their students made a deep impact on me. I knew from that point that I wanted the same in my future career. I love guiding and instilling confidence in my students to show them their full potential.
Education and Training:
My education started out in the Diocese of Dallas, attending St. Thomas Aquinas, and graduating from Bishop Lynch High School in 2004. Upon graduating, I went on to attend Texas A&M University--WHOOP!-- earning my BS in Interdisciplinary Studies and graduating in 2008.
Where I have Lived:
With the exception of living in College Station during college, I have always lived in Dallas!
My Professional Experience:
This is my tenth year teaching! For 8 years, I taught at a charter school in Garland, teaching Kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd grade. This past year, I taught 4th grade in Mesquite ISD.
My Wonderful Family:
My wonderful husband, Jeff, and I have a daughter, Gianna Rose. I am also very blessed to live close to my parents and extended family and see them on a regular basis.
Something you might not know about me:
I am getting to teach with my elementary Spanish teacher this year!
My Prayer for My Students:
Thank you for the gift of being able to teach and guide this wonderful group of students. Give me the guidance and wisdom I need to teach my students, not only academically, but also how to love and respect everyone around them. Help me to always teach with love, patience, and understanding. Amen.
