Why I Teach:

Art has always been my passion.  To be able to share this God given gift seems only natural for me.

Education and Training:

I got an Art Education degree from the Universidade de Pernambuco in Recife, Brazil and a Master’s in Art Education from the University of Georgia

Where I have lived: 

I was born in New Jersey and grew up back and forth to Brazil living in the beautiful cities of Rio de Janeiro, the Amazon jungle and busy Sao Paul.  After I got married, I moved to Recife the northeastern part of Brazil with gorgeous beaches.

My Professional Experience:

My first job was at a Catholic School: Colegio Sao Joao in Recife. Later I started working for the American School of Recife as an Art teacher and ESL teacher where I retired from in 2017.

My Family: 

I am married to Alberto for 41 years.  I have one son who is a pilot.  He has a lovely family.  I have a very active and adorable eight year old grandson.

Something you might not know about me:

 I’ve been living in Texas for over a year.  I can’t wait to go out hiking; my second passion.
