Screening and Temperature Checks

Self Screening
All students, faculty and staff will self-screen daily for symptoms related to COVID-19:
  1. cough
  2. shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  3. chills or repeated shaking with chills
  4. muscle or body aches
  5. sore throat
  6. lost of taste or smell
  7. headache
  8. feeling feverish or measured temperature of 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit
  9. diarrhea
  10. known close contact with a person who is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19 or has symptoms and is waiting for lab results
Online Weekly Screening
In addition to daily temperature checks, parents are required to fill out a quick weekly screening questionnaire.  This will go home each Friday and must be returned the following Monday morning to the student's homeroom teacher.

Any 'yes' to screening questions will require the student to stay home, monitor and seek medical care if necessary.  Contact Nurse Vasquez if your child or anyone in your household becomes symptomatic after the weekly survey.

Daily Temperature Check
All students will have their temperature taken by a staff member as they exit their car in the morning.  This will be done with an infrared thermometer using the forehead. Any student with a temperature over 100.0 will need to go home.

If a student experiences a fever or any of the above listed symptoms while at school, we will contact parents or emergency contacts to come and pick up the child.
