Why do I teach?
I love working with children and helping them grow in their faith and love for Jesus. I enjoy preparing the children for their sacraments. Teaching is the most rewarding profession of all!
Education and Training:
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Education from Immaculata University which is outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Where I have Lived:
I was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I have lived in Texas since 1987.
My Professional Experience
I taught 1st grade for 17 years; 10 at Good Shepherd in Garland and 7 at Saint Monica in North Dallas. I moved to 2nd grade when I started here at St. Josephs. This will be my 14th year to teach 2nd graders.
I was married in 1987 to my wonderful husband Mark. We have three beautiful children.
Something you might not know about me:
I enjoy going to the gym, taking walks, and spending time at the beach. I love watching all kinds of sports.
My prayer for my students:
Thank you for our beautiful school. We pray it would be a safe place of learning, fun and friendship. Please watch over all our children. Help them to learn new things, to explore the world together and to play and be happy. Help us to have love for each other, to have forgiveness at our heart, and to build kindness into every day.
