Why I Teach: When I attended Catholic elementary school, I began to feel a calling to be a teacher. I love the opportunity to help young students not only learn new things but also grow stronger in their Catholic faith.
Education and Training: I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
Where I have lived: I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. I have lived in Thibodaux, Louisiana; Nacogdoches, Texas; Kissimmee, Florida; Tyler, Texas; and now Dallas, Texas.
My Professional Experience: Last year, I taught 5th grade math and science in Tyler, Texas. I am excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year!
My Family: My parents both work at Stephen F. Austin State University. I also have two brothers. One lives in Seattle, Washington and the other lives in Richardson.
Something you might not know about me: I used to work at Walt Disney World in Florida.
